How do the worksheets work now?

Background

It used to be that you'd specify worksheets on a per-year basis, and carry them forward as time progressed. Things have changed somewhat, and the idea now is that all of your worksheet information is available on the property update pages, and you can generate a worksheet PDF at any point. The "worksheet" as a separate entity in the database is no longer useful; rather, your worksheet is the PDF. As time goes by, you'll generate a new PDF instead of cloning worksheet records in the database.

Updating worksheet information

The worksheet panels in the Property update page are:

  • Comparison properties
  • Comparison sales
  • Worksheet calculations
  • Worksheet notes
  • Worksheet PDFs

Please see the Property update page for details about each of these panels.

Searching and exporting

If you search for properties (or sales, analyses or supps) that have worksheets, this will now check for whether there are PDFs attached.

The Property search results page has a new Action Action menu: Attach worksheet PDF(s)…. This will show a popup window that shows the progress of the worksheet PDFs being attached to your properties.

If you want to export multiple worksheets into one or more zip files, you can do this from the Property search page. Search for properties, and then, in the Search results page, select the worksheets you want to have exported, and then choose the Export selected worksheets… menu item from the Action Action menu. Your zip files will be available for download on the Data transfer | Export data page once they've been created.

Contractor options

There are contractor options that control how worksheets are handled:

  • Attach internal notes to land description for worksheet
If ticked, your internal notes will be appended to the land description when the worksheet is generated.

info

Some people keep information relevant to VNSW in their internal notes, separately to the land description; if this is not how your organisation operates, please don't tick this box.
